Step 1.0
The Drying Process
Every flower preservation order begins with a full floral evaluation to determine the best drying method for your blooms. We offer three preservation options—pressed, silica sand, and glycerin solution (coming soon)—each selected to best maintain the color, shape, and delicate details of your florals.
Press Boards
Pressed flower preservation is a slower, detail-focused drying method designed to maintain the natural beauty of your blooms in a delicate, flattened form. This process typically takes 4–6 weeks to dry completely and requires careful monitoring throughout. Once pressed, flowers are ideally reduced to a thickness of 0.5mm–1cm, making them perfect for flat-back frames or backless double-glass frames, where both the front and back of the flowers can be beautifully displayed.
Silica Sand
Silica sand drying is a preservation method that uses specialized sand to carefully support and dry flowers while helping maintain their natural shape and detail. This process typically takes 3–4 weeks to prevent moisture molding. Some natural color changes can occur during drying, especially with deeper tones like reds, maroons, and purples, which may darken. This method is often preferred for flowers being preserved in resin, as resin tends to enhance and revive those rich, deep colors beautifully.
Glycerin Solution (coming soon)
Glycerin preservation is an upcoming drying option currently in our education and training phase before full release. This unique process replaces the flower’s natural water and sap with glycerin, helping preserve blooms with a fresh appearance and soft-to-the-touch texture. The process involves full or partial submersion in a glycerin solution for 3–6 weeks, allowing protection and preservation of the flower in its entirety.
Step 2.0
The Design Process
Once your flowers have completed the drying process, we begin designing your custom preservation piece. This stage typically takes about one week and includes ongoing communication to ensure every detail is perfected before final placement and assembly.
Shadow Boxes
Shadow boxes are a timeless choice for flower preservation. With a wide variety of shapes and sizes available, they offer endless possibilities for creating a beautifully customized and meaningful design.
Pressed Frame
Similar to shadow boxes, pressed flower frames offer versatility in both size and shape. However, they provide a more delicate, minimalistic display that beautifully highlights the natural detail and elegance of your flowers.
Resin Enclosed
Resin preservation transforms your flowers into timeless keepsakes by encasing them in crystal-clear resin. This method beautifully preserves the shape, color, and detail of each bloom while creating a modern display that can be cherished for years to come.
